My name is Emily-Jane and I'm the author of the blog Not A House, But A Home.
I'm a huge fan of everything design, decor, or DIY related. I've been reading blogs on these topics for years and decided to start this blog in April 2011 as a place to record my house-related projects and to write about the pre-build condo process.
I met Kevin, in 2007. After 5 years of dating, we got married in a lovely outdoor ceremony. In September 2014, we welcomed a beautiful baby boy, Benjamin.
In 2010, we put down a deposit on a pre-build condo in Toronto, slated to be completed in the summer of 2012. Unfortunately, there were quite a few delays and we moved in in August 2014, while I was 9 months pregnant!

- I'm the sporty, outdoors-y type - hiking, camping, baseball, soccer, running... good times
- I'm quite possibly the lightest packer you'll ever meet, but I'm not a big clothes/shoes/purse/accessories kinda gal, so that helps!
- I love (and am good at!) saving money
- I'm a horrible cleaner, but love cooking and baking
- I have an insatiable sweet tooth and would live off candy if I wasn't fairly certain it would kill me
